About Terry Pitchford Insurance Agency

The Pitchford Agency ranks nationally as one of American National's largest and best managed agencies. The agency has won numerous company awards for its outstanding performance and customer care, including the "Premier Agency Achievement Award."

The agency owner, Terry Pitchford, entered the insurance business as an agent for American National Insurance Company in 1981. While working in the insurance business full-time, he attended Southwest Texas Sate University (now Texas State University in San Marcos, TX) and, in 1987, he received his BBA. That same summer he was promoted from agent to agency manager in Central Texas.

Personally, Terry has won numerous company and industry awards and in 1994 earned the Chartered Life Underwriter certification from the American College in Pennsylvania.

From 1999 to 2003 Terry served as Regional Director for American National for the western half of Texas. Within the Regional Director's duties he has experienced much of the internal operations for the company and as such is widely versed in the risk management field.

Terry specializes in helping both businesses and families with regards to liquidity needs, risk management strategies and health insurance.

Amelia, his wife of 18 years, and their son Sterling all make Austin home. Terry's hobbies include family travel, sport fishing and golf.

Eileen Coleman, Senior Account Executive

Eileen joined the Terry Pitchford Agency in 1999 and has over 15 years experience in the insurance field. She has made customer service and customized insurance reviews a top priority! Raised primarily in the Northeast, she got to Texas as soon as she could and has called Austin her home since 1990. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware. She and her husband Harold of 31 years have two grown children, both graduates of UT. She is an active member of Hope Presbyterian Church.

Shannon Galvin, Equine Specialist

Howdy, my name is Shannon Galvin, I received my Bachelors in Animal Science and my Masters in Equine Reproduction from Texas A&M University. During my education I became very interested in Equine Medicine to include the Reproduction Process working for a few clinics in the area as well as Internationally for an Embryo Transfer Center in Holland.

I was born and raised in the Houston area where I became involved in Hunter/Jumpers at a young age and I have been riding ever since, competing mainly in the Southern U.S.. My background and experiences and also being apart of the equine communities, helped me determine what my career would be. So, I'm very proud to say that I chose the insurance industry so I could serve the equine communities with which I share a passion. I know their needs and I want to help each of you protect what you value most.
